One of presidential-hopeful Barack Obama’s
advisers — Samantha Power — accidentally let slip the truth the other
day. Though she tried to salvage her political
faux pas
by appending an “off the record” statement, the cat was out of the bag.
She called the Hil-minator a “monster” who would resort to any means to
achieve her ends.
Uh. Duh! Who didn’t (and doesn’t) know that?
But Power committed the ultimate political sin of telling the truth.
Dutifully, she fell on her own sword by resigning her position with
Obama’s campaign. Her initial lying attempt to save herself by
proclaiming her respect for the monster poised to devour the last of
our freedom failed to stem the tide of false outrage.
Gee. Though politicians are eager to claim that “everything is
negotiable,” I guess declaring that the empress is strutting around
buck-naked ain’t part of “everything”...
